Toy Review

Firstly, I want to share how great it feels to own a complete set of 5 Trianforce, cats! I surely wasn't expecting or thought it would happen since they are oddities that are not so common or straight forward to find. What makes them tricky and challenging to find is the fact there is basically no official source of information for them.

Ok now onto the toy review!

Toy Package

From left to right: Octymus, Blarde, Gluverda, Gallaga, and Thaitan.
Front view.
I really love and appreciate the detail and designs of the toy packaging. The toy artwork especially of each mode, they are professionally done and feel like they are from a cartoon or anime. The colours are vibrant and work well together in unison for the team.

Back view.
The back shows picture toy instructions on how to transform them. They also have the whole series of the Bio cats you can collect.

Right side view.
The right side has the names, wonderful pictures, and box detail.

Left side view.
The left side is identical to the right side.

Top view.
The top view has the toy story of the series and bio information with more wonderful artwork and toy pictures.

Bottom side view.
The bottom view has more of the wonderful artwork.

Inside the package.
They all come in styro foam insert, classic vintage Japanese 80s toys, love it!
Each come with chrome weapon accessories and a catalog.

Bio Cats and accessories.
Trianforce freed!

Bio Cats armed with accessories.
Let's go Trianforce! The feel and look great together. They stand about 6 cm tall.

Bio Panther
His colour scheme is very accurate to a black panther with dead red sticker eyes and shoulder laser cannons!

Bio Lion
Large and brute looking with a interesting choice of dark brown colour scheme along with the eye-catching gold head and mane. Add the shoulder rocket-launchers accessories, really makes him a force to be reckoned with!

Bio Cheetah
Love the shoulder armour designs and colour scheme with the stickers makes him represent a cheetah very well! He holds The Flying Sword weapon accessory in his mouth, looking sharp and deadly, I really like it!

Bio Wild Cat
The silver colour scheme with black sticker stripes works really accurate to a real lynx cat and especially the design! He holds the weapon accessory in his mouth, making it look twice as deadly as they are psychic rocket-launchers accessory!

Bio Tiger
A solid and vibrant colour scheme with added coloured black tiger stripes stickers, looking accurately to a tiger! The red eyes just adds another scary effect while he has 2 shoulder laser cannon accessories!

Bioroid
Modes.

From left to right: Octymus, Blarde, Gluverda, Gallaga, and Thaitan.
The Trianforce Bioroids!

The TrianforceBioroid transformed modes have distinct designs when all presented together. They stand about 10 cm tall. What makes the Bioroid series distinguishable is the theme of the designs being half human and animal. To further notice it you can see their head sculpt designs and certain body parts are painted human skinned colours. There is hand painted areas for the heads, mostly for the eyes, eye-brows, and hair but unfortunately they sometimes are not fully painted properly.
All the Trianforce members have pre-applied stickers on them. However the unfortunate part is some of them are commonly not fully applied properly and tend to be already pealed off in some areas, even if they are new in box. This could cause sets to be incomplete since they don't stick well and be lost easily so please take extreme care!

Octymus

Blarde

Gluverda

Gallaga

Thaitan

All of the Trianforce members have very similar and almost the same transformation patterns for both Bio cat modes and Bioroid modes.
Their cat heads fold down to the chest then revealing the humanoid head.
Their cat forearms become the Bioroid main forearms and hands.
Their cat lower body parts slide down to reveal the Bioroid legs and feet.
Each member has unique weapon accessories.
Their articulation is basic and definitely limited but for vintage 80s toys, its pretty good for me!
The only critiques I have for these toys is, the quality of the plastic is fragile so please take extreme care while handling them.
And lastly the most of the stickers are already applied on and they come loose or half peeled off already which can cause them to be lost easily, making it difficult to replace or have the toys complete, so please take extreme care when you are looking for a complete sets!

Comparisons

Left side are the Bioroids.
Right side are the Fighting Animal releases by Tatsumiya. More commonly known as the international versions Robo-Kats and more different series name releases.
For the international versions I'll use their common english names which are:
Slick: the Black Panther
Simba: the Lion
Cheetan: the Cheetah
Lynx: the Wild Cat
Sarge: the Tiger

Octymus and Slick

Blarde and Simba

Gluverda and Cheetan

Gallaga and Lynx

Thaitan and Sarge
The difference in plastic quality between each of them varies, some are stronger than the other.
There is different paint jobs, stickers, and designing that was done of each series.

Conclusion

I'm so happy I could complete a Trianforce set. It took years to find them 1 by 1 and it wasn't a simple task but it was a great challenge! I hope you enjoyed my review of the Bioroid, Trianforce, cats!
Note: I was going to show the Trianforce, 4 insects together with these 5 cats. However I decided to leave them out since I wanted to focus only on the 5 cats and will do a new separate blog featuring all 9 Trianforce toy members in the future!
