DREAM PROJECT: TOY ARTWORK CUSTOMS!

It's been awhile, I hope everyone has had a good year and is taking care!
In this post I am introducing a new passion project of mine I've always dreamt of creating! It is the based on the toy artworks of LH - Champion Crown (Leader Shine)'s toy packaging, which illustrated beautiful painted images from the V WORLD series and each toy line of the The Fighting Animals, Invading Reptiles, Fighting Insects, and Invading Insects in their robot and beast modes.
I will share my journey in attempting to translate the toy artworks representations through customisation of the original releases to my own interpretation. My goal is to have fun and explore the possibilities within this challenging project, as I've always imagined what if we can see those amazing toy artworks come to life and synergise with the toy aesthetics. I started off LION and BLACK PANTHER with disassembling all the toy parts and used acrylic brush markers to repaint and colour them from working and studying the toy artwork colour palettes and re-enact the poses, it's all a challenge! I gradually took the time to learn and develop at a comfortable level I could find a comfortable level and rhythm to enjoy the process.

KAT MODES
I wanted to try my best to convey the colours from the toy artwork, while taking my own artistic liberties. I found I wanted to paint BLACK PANTHER a little bit more darker toned blue in comparison to his original artwork to represent his KAT MODE being a Black Panther/Jaguar and what I have planned I think he contrast well with the remaining FIGHING ANIMAL KATS.

As you could see between the original toy molds, they were almost much different colour palettes from the toy artworks. I believe this coincides with the SACRED BEAST LEGEND BIOROID - SERIES
as the toy packaging artists for the LH - V WORLD series had to change the humanoid forms into robotic forms to suit the transformable robots marketing. This would explain the influence and combination of the BIOROID series toy molds and toy artworks packaging reflects how the V WORLD toy artwork packaging came to be.

Here is the fruits of labour come all together for LION and BLACK PANTHER's toy artworks brought to life into the original molds. It's a strange thing to mention yet a familiar one, knowing if you grew up in the Golden Age Era of toys in the 80s, many of us will remember how the toy artworks would spark our imagination of what the toy itself will represent and the articulation they are posing in. This feeling was special because first impressions counted when we saw these toys on the toy store and commonly as kids whether the toys being advertised from the toy packaging, comics, cartoons, and other media. We found this was the most essential for us to love and appreciate the world of toys can create for us in our imaginations and have fun cherishing the awesome effort the companies worked hard to build and sell which definitely left us to experience and take away fond memories!
